Tonight we highlight Lot 15, A 3/4 SimAngus that is an extra thick, extremely deep bodied, high-performance STUD, which was our #6 for WW. Before this calf was even born, we picked him to be one of our top, and we were right!
His sire, Gibbs Southern Comfort, transmits his stunning phenotype to his calves and they grow, while also working on heifers, while touting a top 4% API and 1% TI! He is a trait leader for CE, WW, YW and ADG, with BW, MCE, MWW, DOC, CW, MB, API and TI in the top 15% or higher and sired many of our top WW and YW calves.
His dam is absolutely one of our top cows, a Tanker daughter with a 110 WW ratio on 8 calves and a 111 YW ratio, and her 1st calf heifer raised our #1 WW heifer and her 2nd calf daughter raised our #10 WW heifer this year out of 132 heifers. She also has a full sister to this bull in the bred heifer pen that we plan to flush this spring. The granddam is also a top producer as well. She was the #1 WW heifer out of 272 and #3 YW heifer out of 208 and has a 114 WW and 109 YW ratio with 11 calves, and her dam has a 111 WW and 110 YW ration with 12 calves.
